Maumee, OH is  20 miles East of Delta, OH on Alt 20.  With Interstate 90 to the North and the Maumee River to the East and just 10 miles Southwest of Toledo, OH.  A population of 14,286  and a total area of 10.61 square miles.  Maumee town plot was laid out in 1817 and was established as the county seat in 1840.   

Maumee is a short drive to Delta, Wauseon, Liberty Center and Swanton to the West. Toledo to the North and Perrysburg to the East.

Maumee has a deep story to tell in the place of American history.  Fort Meigs (named after the Ohio Governor) was built as a reaction to British attacks on American forts in the Northwest Territory during the War of 1812. It was built in what is now Perrysburg, Ohio, on a bluff overlooking the Maumee River rapids.  Just across the Maumee River from Maumee, OH – tours of the Fort are available five days a week.

Maumee is also the site of one of the top three battles in the development of our nation – Fallen Timbers Battle.  The Battle of Fallen Timbers, August 20, 1794, has been called the “last battle of the American Revolution”. Battlefield Park is open seven days a week and free to the public.
